This is the Pick Six.
I asked a friend to pick six songs, but they all have to have the same vibe — Then, I pick six and mash them together for the ultimate mix. DJ Timmy Tim and I picked “Disco Funk.”
What did I say. Oh, yeah!
This is Tim’s absolutely positively most favorite music. Like his number one favorite music. And it's also mine. It always has been. I just didn’t know it yet.
Tim taught me more about this kind of music through our extensive record collection. You see we have an amazing record collection together. All different genres. I get the pleasure of sharing these records that Tim, that we both purchase and share together. It's amazing.
Tim also shared with me his glorious experience of the London dance clubs in the early 80s. So when I hear this music, I know it. I fucking love it.
I've always known this style, but Tim really helped me to hone it in and appreciate it for the great music that it is. You wanna know why. Because it makes you wanna dance. It makes you wanna move. It’s happy. How can you listen to this music and be upset.
