This playlist is inspired by the book “I Want My MTV The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution” by Craig Marx and Rob Tannenbaum.

There was an album that came out in the summer of 1997. This album was called, “New Wave Dance Party 1997”. I had already been exposed to New Wave music as a child in the 80’s and I knew all the songs, but having all the songs together on one CD re-introduced me to New Wave.

During that summer in high school was amazing. Almost on a daily basis I would drive around San Diego in my 1984 red Honda Prelude listening to that New Wave dance party with all my friends, and I love that CD. And so did all my friends.
